  Zhejiang Huilong New Materials Co., Ltd., a leading intelligent manufacturing enterprise specializing in dope dyed polyester yarn, announced a $5 million strategic investment in Ambercycle. This partnership reflects their shared commitment to green fiber innovation, with plans to expand the production capacity of T2T dope dyed polyester yarn.

  Traditional dyeing methods are characterized by high energy consumption and pollution levels. In contrast, Huilong’s dope dyed polyester yarn offers uniform coloring, excellent colorfastness, and eco-friendly properties, effectively addressing the high energy, water, and COD emissions challenges of conventional dyeing. By using cycora® recycled materials, Huilong products enable closed-loop recycling of waste textiles, further reducing carbon emissions at the yarn production stage and meeting the diverse needs of Fabric manufacturers and global brands.

Through this collaboration, Ambercycle will integrate its regenerated polyester into Huilong’s facilities in China and Indonesia. This integration aims to shorten the global waste textile recycling chain, and streamline the T2T dope dyed polyester yarn supply chain. By combining Huilong’s extensive expertise in the polyester yarn sector with Ambercycle’s proficiency in circular materials, the two companies aim to scale up T2T dope dyed polyester yarn production and enhance its global market adoption.

The collaboration comes at a pivotal moment when the global textile industry is emphasizing sustainability and the circular economy. Current data shows that less than 1% of discarded textiles are recycled within closed-loop systems.
